Message from President
I am Kanji Yamane, appointed President and Representative Director of Kumagai India Private Limited in April 2025.
Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd., the parent company of Kumagai India Co., Ltd., was founded in Japan in 1898. With over 120 years of unwavering commitment, we have been a significant contributor to the development and advancement of societies and communities worldwide. Our founder, Santaro Kumagai’s philosophy of carrying out difficult construction work and positively impacting society and humanity, is the guiding principle of Kumagai Gumi employees and the cornerstone of Kumagai Gumi’s spirit.
Since its founding, Kumagai Gumi has been on a mission to create safe, high-quality, and beautiful buildings. Our goal is to provide proper convenience and peace of mind to the people who use them and those who live there.
This mission is at the core of our operations, reassuring our stakeholders about our values and goals.
At Kumagai Gumi, our services extend from project initiation to completion and even aftercare. We are renowned for our adept use of technology, expertise, and business networks to ensure that our valued customers are treated with the utmost care and satisfaction.
In our overseas business, we are committed to providing detailed support and services that set us apart from other companies. International projects are coordinated closely with Kumagai Gumi’s International Business Department, and all employees and subcontractors adhere to strict safety, environmental and health policies. This commitment ensures that we deliver high-quality standards, providing our clients with a sense of security and confidence.
We entered the Indian market in 2001 through the Delhi Rapid Transit System Phase 1 Project. In 2016, we established our headquarters in Ahmedabad as Kumagai India Co., Ltd. Kumagai India Co., Ltd. inherits the indomitable spirit of its parent company, the Kumagai Gumi Group, and aims to be a company full of vitality and growth energy while contributing to a sustainable society in India with the philosophy of honesty and healthy competition.
